Summary: Devix Developers respects your commercial privacy. SSMS is an offline-first POS application. All your sales invoices, customer khata balances, purchase bills, and profit reports are stored locally on your own machine. We do not sell, scrape, or transmit your business data to advertisers or third parties.
1. Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the SSMS (Smart Store Management System & Point of Sale) desktop software, mobile companion apps, and the web portal hosted at ssms.devixdevelopers.dev, owned and engineered by Devix Developers (Pvt) Ltd.
By downloading, installing, or activating an SSMS license, you acknowledge and agree to the operational data practices outlined in this policy.
2. Data Ownership & Local Storage
We adhere to a strict Local-First Data Ownership philosophy:
- 100% Local Ownership: All product databases, pricing matrices, inventory records, customer credit khata details, supplier purchase bills, and financial ledger books are stored directly in your local SQLite database file on your terminal.
- No Cloud Interception: Devix Developers does not monitor, inspect, intercept, or log individual cash counter sales, billing items, or transaction amounts.
- Data Export Freedom: You retain complete freedom to backup, copy, migrate, or export your data at any time via built-in Excel, PDF, or raw SQLite database exports without vendor lock-in.

To operate seamlessly as an enterprise Point of Sale counter terminal, SSMS requests specific local operating system capabilities:
4. Multi-Branch Cloud Synchronization (Optional)
For businesses operating multiple branches or remote warehouses, SSMS provides an automated hybrid synchronization engine connecting to a dedicated PostgreSQL cloud instance:
- End-to-End Encrypted Sync: All data transmissions between your local terminals and your central cloud database utilize TLS 1.3 cryptographic encryption.
- Dedicated Isolated Tenant: Each multi-branch customer receives a distinct, isolated PostgreSQL database schema. No customer data is co-mingled.
- Credentials Security: Cloud database connection strings and passwords are encrypted on disk using standard operating system secret storage.
5. Commercial Licensing & Activation Keys
When purchasing an SSMS subscription through our payment gateway (paymentgateway.devixdevelopers.dev), we collect only the minimal information required to fulfill and service your commercial license:
- Business / Store Name
- Admin Contact Person Name & Email
- WhatsApp / Phone Number for license dispatch and OTP recovery
- Terminal Hardware Device UUID for offline token generation
Payment card numbers and banking credentials are processed directly through certified PCI-DSS compliant financial partners. Devix Developers never stores your credit card numbers or banking passwords.
6. Offline Cryptographic Grace Period
SSMS features an offline-tolerant licensing engine. Once activated, your terminal can operate fully without internet access for an extended grace period. Periodic lightweight handshakes re-validate your active plan tier. If a terminal remains offline beyond the grace threshold, billing features transition into evaluation mode until a connection is re-established or an offline cryptographic token is applied.
7. Data Retention & Destruction
Because your primary database resides on your local hardware, data retention is entirely under your business's control. You may delete records, purge old transactions, or uninstall the software at any time. When uninstalling SSMS, you have the option to permanently erase all local databases, caches, and configuration settings.
